Written in 1979, it may be the first song calling for gay marriage - at least, it is surely one of the first! This song was used in a video featuring the large public ceremony of commitment by many gay couples in NYC about 10 years ago. I'm very proud of this song. It raised my consciousness to write it, and I hope it does the same for others to hear it.
